Even if I was good enough the chances of making a team would be astronomical since I'm 22, if I'd even be eligible to play at all (NCAA eligibility rules are largely incomprehensible and it seems like every coach has told me something different).The way I understand it the vast majority of D1 NCAA players have been scouted/chosen before they are 16 years old, which means that most teams will have already committed their rosters for the next couple years at least. All the guys I played with got bumped to ncaaCentral Michigan university, Michigan and Michigan state all have teams. We provide those kids with another outlet to continue playing hockey. 6. I had a few family members play D1 hockey and they received great educations AND played a high level of hockey at the same time.Well that's the dream haha. I have heard that the quality of ACHA programs vary dramatically (not skill level but actual quality of organizations) to the extent that it's not rare for lower division programs to be better than those in higher divisions.
