Depending on 1)if you have sleepers in the spawn-room and 2) how enemies spawn behind these doors it might be impossible to save these. This is a relatively small development team. The road to matchmaking Rundown #004 will not contain matchmaking. I truly hope it doesn't. GTFO is a 4 player action/horror cooperative first-person shooter for hardcore gamers looking for a real challenge. Players get to play as a team of prisoners, forced to explore and extract valuable artifacts from a vast underground complex that has been overrun by terrifying creatures. Nulbers change.
The game is in early access. It's simply not fun.Clearly this is meant to be a difficult game and difficult games can certainly sell well (hello Dark Souls!) Perhaps certain levels would be locked unless you had met certain criteria in previous levels. The graphics, the tension, the sound design and what little we know of the story so far are all simply incredible. They have a lot of features left to implement and after the gameplay is tweaked/balanced it will be more enjoyable.I think it is just important to remember that this is Early Access. I do know it’s not a casual game for casual players, but I just wish I knew the solution too.I adore this game. After Impact AB is not associated with, affiliated with, sponsored by and/or endorsed by them. d1 also suffers from the problem that the game sometimes spawns enemies inside people (both sleepers and gigants) although thats besides the point.Just read those posts. However Match making comes with its own set of issues that will need to be sorted out as well. With each big content drop (rundowns) it gets a spike of players that dwindles back down as people complete, or lose interest in, the new content. It's true that the peaks and troughs are lower, and the troughs are reached more quickly, but are we expecting the game to continually draw in new players? Some fun moments there. I’ve tried LFG and that works, but the times I find good people to play with it’s always less fun and more serious.
I've used the discord (a lot actually) and have found it lacking. We are aware of the demand and it is coming, features like matchmaking takes time with a small development team like ours. I don't think anyone has an issue with a bit of constructive criticism when it comes to a game. Or players could find keys that they could carry to a different level to unlock a door that would provide an alternate path or objective.Right now there’s no loop outside of ‘finish the rundown’, and I think that’s the bigger hurdle for the games longevity than match making.I’ve put the game down for the few weeks, but have been keeping an eye on Twitter for rumblings for R4, can’t wait to get back in the seat.I love playing this with my friends, but it’s just too stressful for them and I don’t blame them. It killed any chance GTFO of being a success and will continue to do so until it's resolved. It was love at first play.Deep breath boys and girls, I'm about to say some negative things and raise some concerns.
This game has been on record saying they'll be continously updating after release, so if players want rewards but the devs dont know what to give, at least put it in the game as an option, and add a reward later so people can start prestiging early. Like they could at least have a progression system so at least I am more justified to beating a hard level and getting rewards.I played the game since the beta, i like the setting and the potential that this game has. I'd like to open by saying I adore this game. How much advertising is it getting? I don't. No amount of hand-wringing will change that.I just don’t see the difference in an in-game match making and find lobbies through discord. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts How does Steam show it steadily climbing in players for a year and a half before that point? "GTFO" is a registered trademark or trademark of After Impact AB in various territories worldwide. If you get c-foam on the floor and an enemy runs into it, it will freeze them in place, just like if you hit them with it directly! You play the game with strangers of varying skill levelGame is in early access and in game match making is plannedYes, the result is the same, but people don't need to do this for any other game. I would join the discord but I don't want to risk the chance of playing with a troll or someone who ludicrously judges your every mistake. As for player count I think you do have to take into account when players complete the rundown they might not want to replay the whole thing again so you'll probably see a drop of players after the first month or so regardless of circumstances.I could help with R3A3 if you want. It is not fun to not be rewarded for your playtime. Things change.
