One landlord said they don’t have internet but we could use their neighbors, LOL. I didn’t travel to Croatia by boat, but I did go to Albania by boat overnight and it definitely wasn’t a luxury experience but it was ok.Bari is nice but is pretty big, make sure to stay in the center and you’ll be fine. We need decent internet both where we stay (maybe airbnb) and are hoping to find some cafes or work spots around.Hey there, I just arrived in Bologna & posted something about it.Only here since Wednesday but it’s already been surprisingly great. The people 2000 years ago didn’t have electricity, cars or the internet but they knew beauty and wanted to be surrounded by it. historic center, you could easily spend a month exploring the city and not see everything. In whatever I have witnessed Milan with it’s churches and being surrounded by the Alps appears to be most appealing to me.You’re right, there are just too many beautiful places and a lot of wonderful cities didn’t make the list.
In Italy, Modena isn’t as small as my other suggestions, but it has an amazing food scene if you’re into that. But it’s gorgeous!Try Saint Jean de Luz in France (Basque Coast - gorgeous coastline, cute center, bigger Biarritz is just down the road) or perhaps Azay-le-Rideau if you want to be in the Loire Valley and visit all the castles (if you have a bicycle, the cycling here is amazing). The cities are so wonderful. Can’t imagine how it’d be in the spring/summer Anyhow, in that post I added plenty of links regarding coworking spaces & other generic resources relevant to Italy.Re WiFi at home, I spent April and May of 2015 about 2 kilometres outside of a hilltop village in Tuscany and never had any problems at all with the WiFi.no doubt: get a prepaid TIM sim card (avoid vodafone like hell), and put it on a huawei pocket wifi modem.Seems Italy is a good place as I haven’t heard any issues with regards to Internet, power outages, etc. Personally I’m also very fond of Mantova (Mantua) and Ravenna… they’re close to Verona and Bologna respectively so if you’re in the area I recommend to visit. I would say it'sI lived in many cities in both South and North Europe. We really didn’t do any hiking since I was working full time, but we’ve met hikers who seemed to enjoy the area.
They really take advantage on you if they figure it out that you are a tourist on their country.
It’s more than just beautiful, it’s unique and moving… In another country it would be on top of every must-visit list.
