The bartender whose name is Oli is the best bartender I’ve ever had. The food was very good although I only ate at the buffet every night. Our guests praise the bar and the helpful staff in our reviews. It was a nice touch that they had a morning mimosa station. The whole experience has been great, from the food to the day/evening activities. We loved the beach front umbrellas with beverage service.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the nicest staff. Enjoy free WiFi, free parking, and 2 outdoor pools. Room types may vary. The Ocean Maya Royale hotel is located on the seafront of Riviera Maya, in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean and close to Playa del Carmen. Do not believe the negative reviews... this hotel is wonderful.

I was pleasantly surprised how good the good was - the Blue Moon and Japanese restaurants were especially good, but even the buffet was really tasty, and varied from day to day. The only thing I wish would have been different is the pool bar staying open later than 6:00pm, but when it does close the bar at the lobby is the place to hang out. The entertainment was really splendid and Adrian the foam party guy was very very very very cool!!! The rooms are clean, well appointed and roomy.
